Show up. Work hard. Get the job done.

About Kilton

I grew up in Wayne in a working-class family where you showed up, did the work, and took care of the people around you. That’s the mindset I’ve carried with me, from my early days figuring out my path after leaving college, to building a career as an electrician through a union apprenticeship, to now helping connect workers with good-paying jobs and benefits.

I’m running because too many working people don’t have a real voice in Augusta. I’ve lived the challenges people here face: rising costs, uncertain job cycles, and the feeling that opportunity can be hard to find. In my first term, I focused on getting results: strengthening workforce pathways, lowering energy costs, and helping constituents navigate a system that can be tough to deal with.

I don’t overpromise—I show up, do the work, and deliver. If you send me back to Augusta, I’ll keep fighting to make sure people here can not only stay in Maine, but build a life and succeed here.

  • I am motivated to run to help represent working people in my district. Augusta has plenty of Business Owners, the independently wealthy, and the retired. What we still don't have enough of are people in the trades like me.

  • I want voters to know that when I go to Augusta I go with the intent to get results and get the work done. I don’t promise what I can deliver and I deliver what I promise.

  • I want there to be opportunities for Mainers here in Maine so they can do more than just live where they grew up, but also thrive. I left Maine for college as I was worried I didn’t have any opportunities here and now I want to change that feeling.

What Matters Most

Workforce Development & Opportunity

I believe Maine should be a place where people can build a life—not just grow up here and feel like they have to leave. I know what that uncertainty feels like, because I lived it. That’s why I’ve focused on strengthening workforce pathways like apprenticeships, so people have real options to learn skills, earn a living, and succeed right here at home.

Supporting Working People

I’m running to represent working people, because too often, we’re not the ones at the table. I come from that background, and I understand the challenges that come with it: unstable work cycles, rising costs, and a system that doesn’t always feel like it’s built for you. I’m focused on making sure the people who do the work in this state have a voice and a fair shot.

Energy Costs & Affordability

Energy costs are hitting working people hard, and it’s something I’ve taken seriously. I’ve worked on legislation to bring those costs down and make the system more fair, because no one should feel like they’re falling behind just trying to keep the lights on. We need practical solutions that actually save people money over time.

Cost of Living

The cost of living is affecting everything—from housing to education to everyday expenses. I hear it from people across the district, and I feel it too. We need to be honest about the pressure families are under and work toward solutions that make it easier to live and stay in our communities.

Education & Local Schools

Our local schools are facing real financial challenges, and that impacts families and communities across the district. We need to make sure schools have the resources they need without putting an unsustainable burden on taxpayers. Strong schools are essential to strong communities, and we can’t afford to get this wrong.

My First Term, At a Glance

In my first term I delivered.

I passed LD 1117, a bill to strengthen pre-apprenticeships.

I helped pass LD 1777 which right-sizes Net Energy Billing, saving Mainers $1.2 Billion over the next 16 years.

I passed LD 2078 which repeals the sales tax on our CMP Bills.

I didn’t just change our state’s future, I also helped our neighbors.

With a successful first term under my belt I know the ins-and-outs of getting things done you.
